I've been really sitting with what an 'embodied' practice looks and feels like. I came upon this: "...embodiment
is understood as more than just a physical technique; to reiterate, it is defined as a deepening of interior awareness,
sensation, feeling, and kinesthetic consciousness as a way of knowing how all of the dimensions of the self-physical, emotional,
cognitive, and spiritual-are expressed through the body interdependently...In hatha yoga, the practice leads to embodied
illumination that 'is not merely a mind-transcending state but illumines the body itself; the body is experienced as the
body of the Divine' (Feuerstein, 1990;191). In this system, embodiment can be interpreted both as an evolved state of being
and as the process of getting there."--Shiva Rea (1997)
